Carpool Parking Program Rules and Regulations

WHAT IS THE PALM BEACH STATE COLLEGE CARPOOL PARKING PROGRAM?
Palm Beach State College has implemented a benefit for students that share the ride to the Lake Worth campus. Carpool parking spaces have been installed around campus in the following areas: Registration, Administration, TC, NS, ETA and SCA.

WHO CAN PARK IN THE CARPOOL PARKING SPACES?
Registered carpools that consist of two or more registered Palm Beach State College students and who carpool to and from campus at least two days a week are eligible to utilize the spaces. The Carpool Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis to groups with a valid permit. Participants must also have a valid Palm Beach State College Permit Decal.

WHERE ARE THE PREFERRED CARPOOL PARKING SPACES LOCATED?
There are 12 carpool parking spaces throughout campus. Two spaces each are located in parking lots servicing Registration, Administration (Admin), Technology Center (TC), Natural Science (NS), Education and Training Center (ETA), and Science (SCA).

CAN I USE THE SPACES WHEN MY CARPOOL PARTNER IS NOT WITH ME?
A minimum of two registered carpool participants must be seen exiting a vehicle utilizing a carpool parking space. Any participant found parking in a designated carpool parking spot as a single commuter will be in violation of the program.

HOW DOES MY CARPOOL GROUP ENROLL IN THE PROGRAM?
An online enrollment form can be accessed at www.get2pbsc.com. The form must be completed by all participants in the group. South Florida Commuter Services (SFCS) will process your application, and you will receive a Carpool Preferred Parking permit by postal mail within 7 - 10 business days.

WHAT ARE THE PERMIT GUIDELINES?
Only one permit is provided per carpool group. Should a group utilize multiple vehicles, the permit must be transferred to the vehicle being used and be displayed prominently. Permits will expire every twelve months, and it is the responsibility of the carpool group to renew enrollment with SFCS in order to continue participation in the program.

CAN I USE THE SPACES WHEN I AM DRIVING ALONE?
Even if you have a valid permit, you are not permitted to utilize the Preferred Carpool Parking spaces on days when you do not share the ride with at least one other individual.

WHO MONITORS THE SPACES?
Spaces will be monitored by the Palm Beach State College Traffic and Parking Department.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM FOUND VIOLATING THE PROGRAM?
If you are a registered carpool found violating the program, the permit will be taken on the spot and future carpool parking privileges may be suspended or revoked. Parking in a reserved space may lead to a citation. This includes utilizing the spaces without a valid Carpool Parking Permit and/or Palm Beach State College Parking Permit.
