Transit provides economical transportation to a variety of destinations using buses and trains. Transit works well for commuters on a regular schedule, who live or work near a transit stop.
Palmetto and Dadeland North Metrorail station riders that use Metrorail to travel to the Civic Center, Brickell, or Downtown Miami are eligible to receive a $25.00 monthly incentive and preferential parking at the Metrorail station.
Who is eligible to receive the incentive?
Commuters who carpool to the Dadeland North or to the Palmetto Metrorail stations and then travel to work via Metrorail or bus to the Civic Center, Downtown Miami or Brickell area are eligible to receive the Transit Incentive.

Your 826/836 Transit- Carpool Registration will also provide you with a permit (decal) that allows you to park at the preferential parking spaces for carpoolers located at the stations which are available on a first come, first served basis.

If any member of the carpool does not meet the criteria, the registration request could be denied unless additional information is provided that would constitute a qualified carpool.
Where are the preferential parking spaces located at the station?
The Palmetto Metrorail station preferential parking spaces are located in the second row of the parking garage across from the handicapped parking and are offered to registered carpools on a first come, first serve basis. The Dadeland North preferential parking spaces are located in the second floor of the parking garage across from the elevator also offered on a first come, first serve basis.

All participants must sign the registration form prior to submitting it to SFCS acknowledging that the information they provided is accurate or check the verification box on the online registration form.
All personal information, including home address and home phone number, submitted to SFCS will only be used to register participants and provide 826/836 Project information and/or updates to the registrant. Personal information will be kept confidential and is only to be used for registration purposes.
Carpools must meet the criteria established for the 826/836 incentive program. Carpoolers must live within a 3 mile radius and have similar work hours. Carpool groups must consist of at least two members living in different households. If a carpool group has more than one member from the same household, only one member in the carpool group will receive the incentive. Example: Carpooler A, Carpooler B, and Carpooler C share the ride to work. Carpooler A and Carpooler B live in the same household. This carpool will only be considered as a two person carpool and only Carpooler A and Carpooler C are eligible to receive incentives.
SFCS has the right to verify any and all information, including employment, for any participants submitting a registration. At any time, if a participant’s information is unable to be verified, the registration may be denied or terminated from the program.
In order to participate in the 826/836 incentive program, commuter employment locations must consist of a business/commercial address, a registered business phone number and employ more than one employee. SFCS has the right to verify employment for any commuter submitting a registration or participating in the program.At any time, if a participant is unable to verify their employment or their employment location does not meet the above stated criteria, the registration may be denied or the commuter can be terminated from the program.
SFCS also has the right to request verification of additional information including the right to request and verify proof of MDT Metrorail parking including the submittal of a copy of your monthly parking hangtag.
At any time, if a participant’s information is unable to be verified, the registration may be denied or terminated from the program.
Participants are required to provide the vehicle make, model, and license plate information for any vehicle that is used by a carpool; if they are a rider in the carpool, SFCS will only need their home/work and contact information. If you receive a new vehicle or license/registration information, you must contact SFCS to update the information on file to avoid being removed from the incentive program.
In order to receive their monthly incentives, one member of the carpool group must complete and submit the 826/836 Transit Tracking form. Tracking forms must be submitted by the 5th of the following month in order to receive incentives. SFCS will mail carpool incentives to the mailing address provided for each participant in the carpool. SFCS is not responsible for replacing lost or stolen gift cards. Shipments that have been returned due to inaccurate addresses may not be re-shipped at the expense of SFCS..
Participants will receive a renewal request every six months. Renewal notifications will be sent via email or postal mail 30 days prior to the registration expiration date. Participants that do not submit renewals prior to the registration expiration date will be deactivated from the incentive program and may not be eligible to receive incentives.
Incentives will be distributed on a monthly basis to commuters that submit their tracking form. SFCS will send incentives to the mailing address provided for each participant in the carpool. SFCS is not responsible for replacing lost or stolen gift cards. Shipments that have been returned due to inaccurate addresses may not be re-mailed at the expense of SFCS. Any disputes regarding the distribution, receiving, or balances of incentive cards must be submitted to SFCS within 30 days of the card distribution date. Disputes must be submitted in writing via email (email@example.com) or postal mail (5450 NW 33rd Ave, Ste 110, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309). All participants meeting the criteria are eligible for one year’s worth of incentives beginning February 2012 ending January 2013. Incentives after December 31, 2012 will be provided based on available funding. Participants assume all applicable tax liability for participating in the program.
Participants agree to adhere to any and all rules and regulations identified in the carsharing incentive program.
All existing or new participants meeting the criteria are eligible for one year’s worth of incentives beginning February 2012 ending January 2013. Incentives after December 31, 2012 will be distributed based on available funding. Participants assume all applicable tax liability for participating in the program.
