In an effort to assist impacted commuters using the 826/836 interchange, South Florida Commuter Services (SFCS) has created an incentive program to reward and motivate commuters to use alternative modes of transportation. Commuters that carpool to work earn cash for sharing the ride at least 16 days per month.
With service during the morning and afternoon peak hours, commuters will find the 595 Express Bus an economical stress-free way to get from Western Broward County to Downtown Miami/Brickell, downtown Fort Lauderdale, and the Miami Civic Center.The new hybrid buses are equipped with free WiFi, hi-back seats, and 12-volt power outlets for charging your phone or tablet….now getting there is easier than ever.
95 Express buses, registered 3+ carpools, registered hybrids, and registered South Florida Vanpools can use the 95 Express lanes toll free.Using any one of the five express bus routes or sharing the ride can save you money in more ways than one.
MIA employees that carpool to work using the 826/836 interchange can earn cash for sharing the ride at least 16 days a month. Registered carpoolers also qualify for the Emergency Ride Home Program which provides six FREE taxi rides in case of an emergency. In addition, Miami International Airport provides preferential parking for carpools and vanpools.
